If you'll install this ISM (idle speed motor) by yourself, you should pay attention to some of the moments.
First:
Before installation just disconnect the minus pole of battery.
This is not only for safety. Mainly this is required in order to force engine controller to "accept" new mechanics and sensors.
This will also prevent the possible high revolutions of engine when the very first start is performed (just after changing ISM) .
With the same result you may also disconnect battery after installation before engine starting. The couple of minutes will be enough.
Second:
Expecting you know, that before and during installation you have never move the push rod of ISM in either direction (don't pull it out or push it in). In other words - dont touch the sliding rod with the hands.
May also be useful to put small amount of oil to O-ring gasket.
